Thomas Vincent Audio Added

Thomas Vincent (1634-1678) published THE SHORTER CATECHISM EXPLAINED in 1675. This was an explanation of the Westminster Shorter Catechism via additional questions and answers (a catechetical approach). We will be reading from an 1806 version printed in New York. We have just added the audio for the introductory materials for this publication which include the title page and three epistles. You can play or download the introductory materials at http://www.box.net/shared/gmypih5756 .

Biographical Sketch of Thomas Hooker Added

We have just added our first audio file. It is a biographical sketch of Thomas Hooker (1586-1647). It is read from the 1845 publication of "The Poor Doubting Christian: Drawn to Christ" (This title was first published in 1629). In future postings we will be adding audio files for the entire book and then proceeding to many others, Lord willing. The link for all mp3 audio files will be http://www.box.net/shared/obju0t7oin . Use this link to access all future audio files.
Purpose of Puritan Readings Aloud
Do you desire to redeem your commute, exercise, and like times by listening to audio books where the content is sound teaching on Biblical doctrines and practice, especially of the Puritan variety? The problem is that there are little if any materials of this nature available. It is my intention to gradually build a library of such materials at this site. I hope that you will return frequently to check for updates and avail yourself of the rich materials you will find here.
